Foils and coils are amongst a few types of modules in the Nickel alloy grade. Both these components can be distinguished based on certain criteria. A Nickel Alloy Coil is generally designed in thickness between 1.2mm to 20mm. These robust modules after the initial Nickel Hot Rolled Plate are tempered at high temperatures.
They can be easily transported and later sheared or cut into specifications of different sizes. ASME SB162 Nickel Foil is the thinnest metal component designed with a thickness of below 0.2mm. These foils are employed in covering and protecting Nickel Cold Rolled Plate or other components as they are processed or transported.
Nickel alloy and stainless steel plates are made from two types of metals. The difference between them can be noted based on their properties.
- Ni-grade plates are a pure chemical element within the d-block. Stainless steel is a module containing iron, chromium, and ni.
- Ni is a ductile metal with its plates having a high boiling point possessing good magnetic properties at room temperatures. Stainless steel plates possess enhanced corrosion and strain resistance and are very durable.
