What is Quard Plate?

it is a martensitic grade of steel. The versatile abrasion-resistant Quard Plate is designed with a chemical composition consisting of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorous, sulfur, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and boron. The quad wear plate possesses enhanced strength; while showing superior resistance against wear and tear in the system.

quard steel plate can withstand corrosive media and resist cracks that incur due to welding as the versatile modules of the quard 450 steel plate exhibit enhanced hardness. The superior concentration of carbon within these plates gives them higher hardness in the system. Designed with a specific Brinell hardness between 370-430 HBW, the Quard 400 Plate has a thickness between 4mm up to 50mm.

The superior hardness of this grade is due to tempering and quenching performed on the plate. A quard 450 plate possesses enhanced properties and hardness compared to its predecessor. These plates can be readily elongated by a minimum of 10%. The super-hardened quard 500 plate has a hardness of a minimum of 470 Brinell.
