S235jr is a standard specification for a European standard structural steel grade. The S235jr Plate is produced constituting of a superior composition of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorous, and sulfur. This gives them good tolerance and resistance to harsh conditions. The versatile S235jr Steel Plate is designed with superior mechanical properties. These plates have minimum yield strength of 225mpa and showcase a tensile strength between 360 to 510mpa. The plates can be elongated by a minimum of 18% and have a thickness above 6mm.

The S235JR Structural Steel Plate is a lightweight grade that can withhold a wide range of pressures and temperatures in the system. The structural plates have a hardness of nominal 235 Brinell and are generally produced in hot or cold rolled configurations. These plates have higher resistance to residual stress and are less prone to failure.

The S235jr N Plate is designed in thickness between 6mm to 200mm and can be used in construction applications to provide good support and stability. The major setback of this plate is that it cannot be heat treated. S235jrn equivalent material is the low carbon GB Q235B steel grade. The JR mark indicates that the steel has been subjected to longitudinal Chary V-Notch impact testing at room temperature at 27J. It is a structural grade (S) with a minimum yield strength of 235 N/mm2m.


S235AR

A structural grade (S) having the same 235 N/mm2m minimum yield strength. but delivered "as rolled." S235 has a strong yield and tensile strength, albeit it loses some of its strength when heat treated at temperatures above 600°C.
