Where we should use Sa 387 Gr 11 Plate and where to avoid?
The plates in grade 11 of Sa 387 are ideal for use in elevated pressure and temperature systems in boilers and pressure vessels. The high-strength plates can withstand different corrosive media due to their rich chemical composition coupled with their versatile tolerances. They are seen in use in storing liquids and gases at high temperatures or in oil, gas, and chemical industries. The plates are not suitable in applications that require functioning at low temperatures particularly, at cryogenic temperatures if they are not tempered or normalized to meet the right perquisites of low-temperature.
