ABS EH36 is a high-strength structural steel grade. The ABS EH36 Plate is designed with a superior chemical composition of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorous, sulfur, vanadium aluminum, chromium, nickel, and molybdenum with small additions of titanium and niobium. The superior content embedded in the ABS DH36 Plate gives them excellent resistance to corrosive and oxidative media across stress-induced setups. The structural grade plates are lightweight and provide good support to different applications. The versatile ABS DH36 Steel Plate can be processed in a hot or cold rolling process having a different type of hardness and surface finish to suit different applications. The EH-36 steel has superior mechanical properties. These components are designed with a tensile strength between 490 to 620mpa and have minimum yield strength of 355mpa. The modules in this grade can be easily elongated by 21%. ABS EH-36 Plate has a minimum impact strength of 50J at -40 degrees C. These plates are designed in thickness above 5mm, extending up to 260mm or more.

These steel plates have a number of wonderful and noteworthy characteristics that make them in great demand for a variety of applications. Machinability, toughness, Hardness, workability,high tensile strength, formability, corrosion resistance, weldability and extended service life are some of the characteristics. These characteristics make these steel plates even more difficult to work with. Furthermore, these steel plates can withstand high and increased temperatures without losing their qualities.
Shipbuilding steel plates in the Grade D and E series (EH36,DH36) must have good low temperature toughness and welding performance. Regulated rolling and controlled cooling or heat treatment operations with more complete equipment are required to normalise the manufacturing high-strength shipbuilding steel plate. At the same time, the supplied billets must have a high internal steel purity, with the content of P, S,H, N and 0 in the steel being closely monitored.
