Incoloy 825 plate

Inconel 825 Sheet

UNS N08825 Strip
The SAE specified ams5540, is a specification that covers a nickel alloy i.e. Alloy 825 in the form of sheet, strip, and plate. Alloy 825 has the ability to not only resist corrosion but also heat.
Incoloy 825 plate is a module made from nickel, iron, chromium with small additions of copper, molybdenum, and titanium. The Incoloy 825 Plate shows enhanced resistance against corrosion and oxidation across different environmental conditions. The high-end modules of the Inconel 825 Plate show outstanding tolerance against localized attacks incurred due to crevice corrosion and pitting by acids. An 825 Inconel Hot Rolled Plate is processed at high temperatures in mills.
These plate perform well in sulphuric and phosphoric acid systems. The Inconel Alloy 825 Cold Rolled Plate is processed further after the initial hot-rolling process to give it superb hardness, enhanced properties coupled with a superior surface finish. Incoloy 825 sheet is ductile over different temperatures right from cryogenic range to temperatures up to 1000 degrees C. The fabricability of the Inconel 825 sheet allows it to be easily welded and formed within the system.
Chemically, Inconel 825 plate is an alloy that contains 74% Nickel, 15.5% Chromium and 8.0% iron with additions of copper, molybdenum, and titanium, a combination which gives the alloy good heat resisting properties. The content of chromium and molybdenum along with nickel in Werkstoff Nr. 2.4858 plate gives the alloy a high level of resistance to chloride related stress cracking and pitting.
For this reason, UNS No 8825 plate can be used in high chloride containing environments for e.g. seawater. In an annealed condition, the yield strength of UNS N08825 is about 310 MPa while its hardness value is 35 Rockwell. On the other hand, Inconel 825 plate has a melting range of 1370℃ - 1400℃. While the impact strength of Inconel 825 plate is good at both ambient and at cryogenic temperatures, this property is lowered to a significant content as the alloy is exposed to elevated temperatures beyond a point of 540°C.This is because Alloy 825 plate undergoes microstructural changes at temperatures exceeding 540°C, with the formation of a brittle phase.
- Inconel 625 is a superalloy containing a superior concentration of nickel. Incoloy 825 is a superalloy containing moderate amounts of nickel content.
- Inconel 625 has superior tensile and yield strength compared to the latter.
- The melting point of Incoloy 825 is 1400 degrees C, while the Inconel 625 grade exhibits a melting point of 1350 degrees C.

Why Inconel 825 Plate Is Suitable For Oil And Gas Well Piping
Incoloy 825 is a superalloy designed to withstand different systems. The ASTM B424 UNS N08825 Sheet shows excellent corrosion resistance properties due to the presence of superior chemical composition. This composition makes the Alloy 825 Strip resistant to crevice intergranular corrosion across different stress-induced environments. The modules of the Inconel 825 Perforated Sheet has a higher molybdenum content allowing it to be tolerant to pitting in different aqueous media.
The aesthetically appealing UNS N08825 Chequered Plate performs particularly well in sulphuric, phosphoric acids, and sulfur-containing flue gas systems due to their enhanced resistance. Nickel Alloy 825 Coil is easy to machine and resists attacks in sensitization temperatures ranging between 650 degrees C to 760 degrees C.
The grade of WERKSTOFF NR. 2.4858 Foil is qualified in operating in-service temperatures between 525 to 538 degrees C in boiler and pressure vessels. The fabrication process is the NCF 825 Shim Sheet is stabilized, resisting any corrosion grain boundary formation. The excellent resistance seen in these modules of NFE30C20DUM Clad Plate makes these components a plate of choice in the oil and as piping systems.
Inconel 825 Hardness
Inconel 825 is a module that is designed with a tensile strength of 662mpa and yield strength of 338mpa. These super-strength modules exhibit a hardness between 135 to 165 Rockwell B.
Inconel 825 Heat Treatment
Inconel 825 grade can be stabilized by annealing at 940 degrees C. Heavier structures within this grade are quenched to avoid sensitization. Softer structures in the range can be attained at temperatures of 980 degrees C.
