What is Nickel 200 Plate?
Being a commercially pure wrought alloy grade, that has been solution strengthened to improve its tensile strength properties. The Werkstoff Nr. 2.4066 is an alloy which has excellent performance even in flowing high velocity seawater.

However, in stagnant or very low velocity seawater Nickel 200 sheets may undergo severe local attack either by fouling organisms or by other deposits. Typically both hot-rolled, as well as annealed sheets of Alloy 200, have a higher impact strength as opposed to cold worked sheets. This being said, UNS N02200 strips and sheets, in an annealed condition are also covered by the SAE specification AMS 5553.
The mechanical properties of the alloy are superior in an annealed condition. Ni 200 produced plates, coils, sheets, and strips have a Rockwell hardness value of 55 and yield strength valued at 148 MPa in an annealed condition.
What is ASTM B162 UNS N02200 Sheet?
Components produced from the UNS N02200 such as plates, coil, sheet, and strip are covered by the ASTM B162 specification. The alloy used to produce the said components must not only adhere to the chemical requirements laid down by the specification, but also to the mechanical property, testing methods as well as the values for grain size and hardness properties.
